The Trail Left by Time + Short Introduction (Los restos del pasar) | a film that drifts between fiction and non-fiction, told with stunning sensitivity and a poetic realism reminiscent of the most lyrical and folkloric Carlos Saura. It follows a man who, in what feels like his final breath, recalls an Easter Week from his childhood in the village where he grew up; seven days that shaped the adult he would become. Access Film Club: Mary & Max | Creator of Memoir of a Snail, Adam Elliotโs first feature Mary and Max tells the tale of a pen-pal friendship between two very different people: Mary, lonely 8-year-old living in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia; and Max Horovitz 44-year-old Jewish man with Aspergerโs Syndrome living in the chaos of New York City. | GFT | 9 June, 6pm
videoclub and FLAMIN present: 15 new artists' film from across the UK | From a speculative oil rig ritual in the Scottish Highlands to the sonic echoes of South Londonโs buried waterways; from the intimate retelling of a mother-daughter memory to digital hauntings of racialised surveillance - these works explore ecology, mythology, history, and identity through experimental, personal, and poetic lenses. The screening will be followed by an in-conversation with Selected 15 artist-filmmaker Fergus Carmichael and Glasgow-based artist Emmie McLuskey. Bircan Birol - Within the Fragments of Gurbet | An immigrant filmmaker, stirred by the unexpected visit of gurbet, the feeling of being far from home, sets out to trace its path. Within the Fragments of Gurbet brings together the journeys of fellow migrants and refugees as they map their own version of Glasgow through places of loss, connection, and belonging, seeking to make sense of home within a new place, and the fragments of what it once was. CinemARC x GSF: The Life Aquatic | Marking Glasgowโs 850th birthday, the ARC is taking inspiration from the fish on the cityโs crest to present Wes Andersonโs The Life Aquatic for an evening screening. Family Film Workshop: Building a World Through Sound Workshop | Following the 11:30am Take 2 screening of Flow, join us for this free family workshop, exploring the world of sound design. Take One Action present Amussu | Imider, Southeastern Morocco. A rapacious silver mine has siphoned water from local aquifers for decades, drying out the almond groves belonging to an Amazigh community. Fearing their fragile oasis might disappear and their livelihoods destroyed, the villagers peacefully rebelled in 2011 and shut down a major water pipeline heading towards the mine.
This film is the first half of a two-part event, the second of which is Look! I left some seeds in your pocket (7 - 8:30pm) in Common Ground. Your ticket will grant you access to both parts of the event, as well as the sharing of Moroccan food between 6:45 โ 7:15pm in Common Ground.

Little Pictures is looking for people aged 18 and over who are interested in writing, directing or producing films and are yet to receive their first short film commission.
