The film follows an aging shepherd who struggles to find a successor as bears prey on his flock, and a teenage boy who becomes obsessed with tracking the bears. Through its breathtaking cinematography and immersive storytelling, The Shepherd and the Bear is a modern folktale about tradition, community and humanity’s relationship with a vanishing natural world. 10 Feb 8.15 pm

Set in a Cannes of luxury cars, hotels, casinos, and swimming pools by the sea and topped by a legendary last 20 minutes, Mélodie is considered as one of the best thrillers and certainly among the most stylish movies of the early 1960s./ FRENCH INSTITUTE - 11 Feb, 2 & 6 pm
